Japan House
Dedicated in June of 1998, the 3120 square foot Japan House provides a unique environment in which to conduct classes and informal educational sessions on Japanese culture. The building and its surrounding gardens grew out of the work of Professor Shozo Sato, Professor Emeritus in the School of Art and Design, who founded a Japanese culture curriculum at the University in 1964. The building itself was the work of Professor Emeritus of Architecture Jack Baker and the firm of Isaken Glerum PC and were largely funded through private donations. [1]
